- the border security force ( BSF) constable (tradesman) recruitment 2005 has announced a total of 3,588 vacancies ( male - 3,406 , female - 182 ) for various trades such as cook , braber , washerman , plumber , electrician , etc . the age limit is 18 to 25 years as on the closing date of application , with age relaxation of 5 years for SC / ST and 3 years for OBC candidates . the minimum educational qulification required is matriculation ( 10th pass ) along with ITI ( two years ) or vocational training and relevant trade experience for the specific post . the selection process consists of physical standard test (PST ) , physical efficiency test (PET) , written examination ( 100 questions , 100marks , 2 hours , with 0.25 negativ marking per wrong answer ) , trade test , document verification , and medical examination . the application process is online through the official BSF recruitment portal from 25 july 2025 to 23 august 2025 . selected candidates will receive a salary in pay martix level-3 ranging from тВ╣21,700 to тВ╣69,100 per month along with applicable allowances .
