PMT and PET

1. The selection process includes a Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

PMT and PET Details

1. Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
2. This test measures the physical standards of the candidates.
3. For Male Candidates:
   • Height: 168 cm for General, OBC, EWS & SC categories. (Relaxation available for candidates from hill areas and ST category).
   • Chest: 80 cm unexpanded, and 85 cm expanded.
   • Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
4. For Female Candidates:
   • Height: 157 cm for General, OBC, EWS & SC categories. (Relaxation available for candidates from hill areas and ST category).

5. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
6. Candidates who qualify the PST will undergo the PET. This test is qualifying in nature.
7. For Male Candidates:
   • Race: 1.6 km to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
   • Long Jump: 11 feet (3 chances will be given).
   • High Jump: 3.5 feet (3 chances will be given).
8. For Female Candidates:
   • Race: 800 meters to be completed in 4 minutes.
   • Long Jump: 9 feet (3 chances will be given).
   • High Jump: 3 feet (3 chances will be given).
9. Exemption: Ex-servicemen and BSF Serving personnel are exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
