PMT and PET
- The selection process includes a Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical
Efficiency Test (PET).

they meet the prescribed physical standards.
- PET is designed to test the physical endurance of the candidates and
typically includes events like running, long jump, and high jump.
- Both male and female candidates must qualify in these tests to be eligible
for the next stage of the selection process.

PMT and PET Details
- Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Measurement Test
(PMT)
- This test measures the physical standards of the candidates.
- For Male Candidates:
- Height: 168 cm for General, OBC, EWS & SC categories. (Relaxation
available for candidates from hill areas and ST category).
- Chest: 80 cm unexpanded, and 85 cm expanded.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
- For Female Candidates:
- Height: 157 cm for General, OBC, EWS & SC categories. (Relaxation
available for candidates from hill areas and ST category).
- Chest: Not Applicable.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Candidates who qualify the PST will undergo the PET. This test is
qualifying in nature.
- For Male Candidates:
- Race: 1.6 km to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
- Long Jump: 11 feet (3 chances will be given).
- High Jump: 3.5 feet (3 chances will be given).
- For Female Candidates:
- Race: 800 meters to be completed in 4 minutes.
- Long Jump: 9 feet (3 chances will be given).
- High Jump: 3 feet (3 chances will be given).
- Exemption: Ex-servicemen and BSF Serving personnel are
exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
